GUELPH - On May 14, community members teed off to raise more than $21,000 to help local youth.

The Children’s Foundation of Guelph and Wellington extend their thanks and congratulations to golfers, volunteers and community members who took part in this year’s Fore Our Kids Golf Tournament.

Funds raised help local children and youth by connecting them to opportunities to build hope for lifelong change and break the cycle of poverty.

The tournament supports the Foundation’s four core programs: Adopt-A-Family, Food & Friends, Free to Grow and Scholarships. From filling their bellies with healthy food so they can focus on learning in school, to acquiring new skills like driver’s training, to inspiring hope during the holidays, to launching their post-secondary studies through scholarships - participant, volunteer and community support is turning their dreams into reality.

The foundation acknowledges the sponsorship of local organizations and businesses as they help us reach even more local children and youth.

“The tournament provides an opportunity for supporters, donors and partners to come together for a day of great golf, networking, and most importantly, making a difference in the lives of local children and youth,” says Jennifer Tasca, the Children’s Foundation Events Manager.
