ABATE, Antonio

Of Arthur passed away peacefully surrounded by the love of his family at his residence on Wednesday, March 27, 2024 in his 96th year. Beloved husband of the late Angela Abate (nee Bono) for 59 years. Cherished father of Masina and Chet Decker, Sab and Brenda Abate all of Arthur and the late Sal Abate. Dear grandfather of Joshua Decker, Danielle Stolz; Stacey and Brandon Vandergaast, Anthony and Marissa Abate; Masina Abate. Great grandfather of Nathaniel, Lexi, Holly, Owen and Cooper. Brother of Salvatore and Filippa Abate of Arthur the late Sara Abate and the late Gaetana Mariottini. Fondly remembered by his many nieces, nephews and friends. A Funeral Mass was Celebrated in the St. John’s Roman Catholic Church Arthur on Wednesday, April 3, 2024 at 2:00pm. Interment in St. John’s Roman Catholic Cemetery. As expressions of sympathy donations to  Arthur Optimist Club or the Arthur Lions Club would be appreciated by the family. Arrangements entrusted to the Crawford Funeral Chapel, Arthur.
