Advertiser nominated for newspaper awards

TORONTO - The Wellington Advertiser is among the finalists in the 2018 Better Newspapers Competition sponsored by the Ontario Community Newspapers Association.

The Advertiser is nominated for:

General Excellence (circulation 22,500-44,999);

Best photo layout

Best vertical product (Grand & Gorgeous);

Special section for circulation over 10,000 (50th anniversary feature);

In-house promotion;

Local retail layout; and

Best website (circulation over 10,000).

The Advertiser also received the honourable mentions for Best editorial (circulation over 10,000); and Original ad idea.

First, second and third place winners will be announced at an awards gala on April 5 in Vaughan.
