PALMERSTON -  The Andersons 6th Annual Community Christmas Dinner will return to its original format this year.

The free event, which is open to everyone looking to spend time with others on Christmas day, has attracted crowds to community centres in Clifford, Palmerston and Harriston since it began.

Last year’s dinner was modified to a takeout-only event due to physical distancing requirements necessitated by the COVID-19 pandemic.

Minto residents Dave and Jean Anderson, who host the popular Christmas day event, advise that all current COVID-19 precautions will be in effect and proof of vaccination required for those attending the dinner, which will be served at 1pm at the Palmerston Community Centre.

“It will be in Palmerston this year; hopefully sit down as well as take out, depending on regulations,” Jean noted.

“Meals can be picked up or delivered as well if you are not comfortable joining us to sit down and share a meal.”

To order a meal or to volunteer or donate to the dinner call or text 519-505-5914 or email jeanurse1@gmail.com.
