Belwood Country Market under renovations in February

Tasty tarts – Belwood Country Market owner Julie Woefle with some of the varieties of butter tarts for which the store has become famous. The market is closing for renovations during February. Woefle says the work is designed to help prepare for another busy summer. People drive from all over southern Ontario to stock up on the eight varieties of tarts that are prepared using an old family recipe. On a busy day in summer, the market will bake and sell up to two hundred dozen (2,400) tarts.
