Big melt in Erin

Some of the rural gravel roads in Erin were in rough shape on March 15 as rain and melting snow caused flooding and erosion. Sideroad 27 near Winston Churchill Blvd. was closed (above), while the Erin-Eramosa Townline (right and below) had pylons warning of washed-out shoulders and road surfaces. Sideroad 10 between 9th and 10th Line was temporarily impassable due to water over the road, and Winston Churchill south of Sideroad 27 had a major shoulder washout that required emergency repair.  Photo by Phil Gravelle
