CENTRE WELLINGTON – Myrna Bilton was recently awarded the International Shuffleboard Association (ISA)  Lifetime Achievement award in Germany after being the ISA president for nine years.

She said her love for shuffleboard was instilled by her father who taught her to play on their many trips to Florida.

In 2009 Bilton co-founded the Centre Wellington Shuffleboard Association, now her home club. In 2012 she was nominated ISAs first vice president by former president Michael Zellner.

She served as secretary for the Canadian National Shuffleboard Association from 2010 to 2014. In 2016 she became ISA president and the first woman to lead the organization.

“It is with a humble and grateful heart that I receive this prestigious award,” Bilton said as she received the award.

The award recognizes individuals who have, throughout their lifetime, dedicated countless time and efforts directly towards the improvement of shuffleboard.
