Board seeks input on new high school name

GUELPH  – The Upper Grand District School Board is looking for community input for a new high school in south Guelph set to open in September 2026.

The new school, located at Arkell Road and Victoria Road South, is the first new Guelph secondary school the board has opened in nearly 60 years.

Until Oct. 24, students, staff, families and the public can submit and rate names through an anonymous online survey.

Following, the board will host a virtual town hall where people can rank a shortlist. The final decision will fall to the board of trustees.
