BOUWMAN, Harry
“Serve the LORD with gladness! Come into His presence with singing!”
On Monday, October 20, 2025, the Lord took to Himself into glory our dear father, grandfather and great-grandfather, Harry Bouwman, at the blessed age of 99 years. Beloved husband of the late Ida Klazina Bouwman née Dwarshuis (1969) and the late Tini Bouwman née Meima (2010). He was a loving father to Teny and Gerhard Visscher, Clarence and Arlene Bouwman, Jake and Anita Bouwman, Jeannette Bouwman, Teresa and John Jongsma, and Otto and Jeanette Bouwman. He was blessed with 35 grandchildren and more than 100 great-grandchildren. His singular emphasis in life was serving his Lord and Saviour and in that he set a wonderful example for his descendants. Special thanks to the staff at Highland Manor in Fergus, as well as to the staff of Shalom Manor in Grimsby for the excellent care and love he received in the fading years of his life. Visitation is scheduled for Thursday, October 23, from 2-4 and 7-9pm at Maranatha Canadian Reformed Church (basement), 600 Belsyde Avenue East in Fergus. Burial is planned for Friday, at 10am at Belsyde Cemetery in Fergus, to be followed at 11am by a service of gratitude for God’s blessings at the church. A luncheon and time of fellowship will follow.
