FERGUS — St. James Anglican Church is holding a Breakfast in the Butterfly Garden event July 23.

“It’s open to anyone in the community,” said office administrator Melanie Patterson.

The meals are by reservation only, with interested parties able to call ahead and book their place for an 8:30am or 10:30am timeslot. To reserve a place call 519 843 2554 or 519 846 9039, or contact the church directly at: 519 843-2141.

There will be seating available both inside and out, under the shade of the garden’s tent.

“Rain or shine come get your breakfast,” said Patterson.

Three options

There are three meal options, all $12, and $6 for children under 10.
Meal options include:

  • Traditional Breakfast (scrambled eggs/ bacon, ham, or sausage/ home fries/ toast;
  • Pancakes and Maple Syrup (with bacon, ham, or sausage); and
  • Cheese and Spinach Quiche (with fruit salad)

Funds from the breakfast go towards the upkeep of the church’s butterfly garden.

This is St. James Church’s annual summer social event, which they run in varying forms, explained Patterson.

This year, a breakfast was decided on as “they were looking to mix it up a little,” said Patterson.
