Bridge elected vice-chair of FCM Ontario Caucus
GEORGE BRIDGE

WELLINGTON COUNTY - County councillor and Minto Mayor George Bridge has been re-elected to the position of vice-chair of the Ontario Caucus of the Federation of Canadian Municipalities board of directors for the 2020-2021 term.  Bridge is one of 16 members representing the Ontario Caucus, notes an Oct. 27 county press release.

FCM has been the national voice of municipal government since 1901. Members include more than 2,000 municipalities of all sizes, from Canada’s cities and rural communities, to northern communities and 20 provincial and territorial municipal associations.

“I’m honoured to be re-elected vice-chair of the Ontario Caucus,” said Bridge.

“I will continue to be a strong voice for Wellington County and all Ontarians.”

Bridge has served the Town of Minto and Wellington County since 2010 and has served on the FCM board since 2016.

This year, the FCM election was held virtually due to the COVID-19 pandemic.
