Bridge re-elected to FCM board
MINTO MAYOR GEORGE BRIDGE

WELLINGTON COUNTY - County councillor and Town of Minto Mayor George Bridge has been re-elected to the Federation of Canadian Municipalities (FCM) board of directors for the 2020-21 term.

Bridge is one of 16 members representing the Ontario Caucus.

“It’s a great privilege to be re-elected to the FCM national board of directors by my Ontario peers – especially during this extraordinary time,” said Bridge.

“I am proud to be an advocate for key issues that people are facing across Ontario and in Wellington County.”

FCM’s board is comprised of elected municipal officials and affiliate members from all regions and various-sized communities throughout Canada.

It forms a broad base of support and carries the municipal message to the federal government.

Bridge has served the Town of Minto as mayor and Wellington County as a councillor since 2010 and has served on the FCM board since 2016.

This year, the FCM election was held virtually due to the COVID-19 pandemic.
