BRUCE, Arlene

Passed away at Georgetown Hospital with her family by her side. Married 67 years, she was the beloved wife to her husband Bob Bruce. She will be forever missed by her children Susan Macdonald (Jock), and Gordon Bruce (Michelle) Bekto. Arlene will be remembered fondly by her Grandchildren Sarah Soucy (Dan), Alex (Jessica) Macdonald, Andrew and Alyson Piatelli (Nicholas), her Step-Grandchildren Nelson (Kailey) Bekto, and Jordan Bekto, along with her Great-Grandchildren Callum Bekto, and Hudson Bekto. She is survived by her Brother Fred Gordon. Arlene was born on a farm in rural Acton near Churchill. She was an avid gardener and loved her garden flowers. A devoted wife, she was married to her beloved Bob for 67 years. She was a teacher for Halton District School Board, and taught in her home town of Acton at Robert Little and McKenzie-Smith Bennett Public School. A dedicated educator, she was also a trustee on the Halton Board of Education. Everyone who knew Arlene loved her, her smile, her endless love, and her Christmas Pudding. She was a bright light to everyone who met her, and will be remembered fondly and forever loved. All are welcome to join the family at Arlene’s Memorial Service being held on Monday May 27th, at 2pm at Trinity United Church, 70 Mill St. E. Acton.
