WELLINGTON NORTH - The township is advising the public the local building department is accepting all building permit applications and issuing building permits.

In response to the COVID-19 virus the Township of Wellington North municipal office in Kenilworth is operating by appointment only and building department staff are continuing to work remotely.

In an Aug. 5 notice the township indicates all building permit applications, along with supporting documents should be submitted  by email to chief building official Darren Jones at djones@wellington-north.com.

There is also a drop box at the municipal office at 7490 Sideroad 7 West in Kenilworth that is checked daily.

To book building inspections call the building department at (519) 848-3620 Ext. 5. Please allow 48 hours notice.

General property and building inquiries can also be directed to development clerk Tammy Pringle at tpringle@wellington-north.com.

Planning and development applications may still be submitted to the township, however at this time public meetings for zoning by-law amendments or public hearings for minor variance applications are being scheduled via web conference.
