BURROWS, Brian John
Of Palmerston passed away peacefully at home surrounded by family on Aug. 27, 2025 at the age of 70. Beloved husband and best friend of Brenda Burrows (nee Brodhagen) for 48 years. Best dear old dad ever to Shannon Burrows of Harriston and friend Chris, and Andrew and Kelly Burrows of Wingham. Much loved Grandpa of Connor and Liam Burrows. Brother of Gordon and Gloria Burrows of North Carolina, Jim and Joan Burrows of Owen Sound, and Bob and Barb Burrows of Palmerston. Brother-in-law of Janice and Peter Steenbergen of Drayton, and Julie and Vance Dettman of Clifford. Remembered in love by many nieces and nephews. Predeceased by his parents Lorne and Ruby (nee Schaefer) Burrows and his parents-in-law David and Margaret (nee Horton) Brodhagen. Brian worked a variety of careers, including an Ontario Provincial Police officer, entrepreneur, counsellor at Midwestern Regional Centre, real estate agent, Young Drivers instructor and educational assistant at Norwell District Secondary School. He loved his family, riding his motorcycles, the company of four-legged furry friends and making people laugh. The family thanks Dr. Tamara Chu and the palliative nursing team for their tremendous care. According to Brian’s wishes, cremation has taken place. In lieu of flowers, the family would appreciate donations to the Palmerston and District Hospital. Arrangements entrusted to the Heritage Funeral Home, Palmerston.
