Child care

Construction continues at the Wellington Place Child Care and Learning Centre in Aboyne. The new child care centre is located on the Wellington Place campus in Aboyne, across from the Wellington Terrace Long Term Care Home and is set to open on Sept. 3. This project was undertaken with capital funds from the Ministry of Education and the County of Wellington. The child care and learning centre will offer 64 spaces for children in Wellington County from birth to four years of age. County staff will be calling parents and guardians currently on the waiting list during the week of June 24 to confirm their space. Only families who have secured a space in the program for the Sept. 3 opening date will be contacted.  Photo by Kelly Waterhouse
