ABOYNE – Wellington County’s annual Christmas Market will bring dozens of local artisans to the Wellington County Museum and Archives to sell their wares on Nov. 29 and 30.

“The Christmas Market is a fantastic opportunity to support some of Wellington County’s talented local entrepreneurs while also discovering one-of-a-kind holiday gifts,” museum programming supervisor Emily Peters stated in a news release.

The market, which is in its fourth year, runs on Friday evening from 4 to 9pm, and on Saturday from noon to 5pm.

In addition to the vendors who will display their work in booths on the grounds, the market will also include live music from Meggie Faye and Natalie Reis, face-painting in the museum’s sunroom, a chance to visit with the Harmony Meadows alpacas, and local food and beverages from the Serial Griller and Fo’ Cheezy food trucks, BeaverTails, Ten of Tarts and Fergies Fine Foods.

The Saturday market will also have horse-drawn wagon rides, crafts for kids at the Aboyne library branch, and chances to see Santa.

The big guy will be on site from noon to 5pm on Saturday, and there will be story time with Santa at the library at 2:30pm, followed by photo opportunities.

Admission to the event is by donation.
