CENTRE WELLINGTON - Local volunteers will be picking up food donations on Oct. 1.

“Please help us in giving back to our community this season by offering a bag or box of non perishable food items on your porch on Sat. Oct 1 for pick up by volunteers,” organizers state in a press release.

If you haven’t received a paper bag with instructions on your porch by Sept. 30, call or text 519-993-6226 to arrange for porch pick up.

Volunteers are picking up donations in Fergus and Elora only.

Food donations can also be dropped off at CW High School on Oct, 1 between 9am and 1pm.

Oct. 3 has been designated an alternate date for missed bag pick up between 1 and 4pm. This can be arranged by calling/texting the number above.

Organizers are also looking for volunteers to assist in the delivery of bags and pick up of food.

This community initiative is coordinated by Jenn Price Mortgages, Claire and Greg Real Estate Group and Fraberts Fresh Foods with the assistance of CWDHS students and teachers
