Community planting - Trees for Mapleton hosted a community tree planting at the Paul Day Legacy Forest in Riverside park in Drayton on Oct. 19. In just over an hour, 450 trees were planted bringing the total number of trees planted to date to around the 2,000 mark. The goal is to plant one tree for every resident of Mapleton, approximately 10,000 trees, over a five-year period. PHOTO ONE: Volunteers at the planting.
