Concert to raise funds for playground
PALMERSTON – A concert including some top area musical talent is planned to raise funds for playground equipment at Palmerston Public School.
Presented by the school’s parent council, “Let’s Band Together” is set for May 7 at the Palmerston arena, with shows at 2 and 7:30pm.
The lineup will feature the Cara Smith Band, Cowboy Up Unplugged, Short Supply, The New Nelson, Rogersons, The Deathly Hollows and the Moore Band.
A silent auction, 50/50 draw and raffles will also be part of the fundraising.
Concessions will also be available, and the evening show will be a licensed event.
Sponsors of the event include the Palmerston Lions Club, Drayton School of Music and the Town of Minto.
Tickets are $20 for adults, $10 for children or $50 per family (parents and kids from the same household).
