WELLINGTON COUNTY – There are 170 confirmed active cases of COVID-19 throughout the Wellington-Dufferin-Guelph Public Health (WDGPH) region as of May 24, a 31 per cent decrease from 247 cases reported on May 17.

As of Tuesday, there are 40 known active cases in Wellington County, 33 in Dufferin County, and 92 in Guelph.

Provincial health officials admit limited access to COVID testing has resulted in an under-representation of how many active cases there truly are in the province.
