CENTRE WELLINGTON – The Wellington County Museum and Archives is getting set for a celebration of bears and berries when the Teddy Bear Picnic returns in June.

This year’s event, taking place June 22 at the museum, is also a “Strawberry Festival,” and is described on the museum’s website as “a delightful daytime event filled with food, music and fun.”

The fun gets underway at 11:30am and the drop-in-style event runs until 4pm, with activities, crafts and education stations for kids and families.

People are encouraged to pack a picnic lunch, or enjoy food from local food trucks, and strawberry-themed eats that will be available.

There will also be live music from local musicians, and a chance to take part in the Teddy Bear Caper contest, beginning at 1pm.

People are reminded to bring their own bears for the contest, which celebrates unique Teddy bears from across the county.
