County receives recognition from public health

Recognition from public health - Chris Beveridge, right, COVID-19 incident commander/director of health protection for the Wellington-Dufferin-Guelph Public Health unit presented an appreciation plaque to Warden Kelly Linton at the Oct. 28 county council meeting in recognition of the county’s efforts in the fight against COVID-19.

Citing the county’s contribution of resources and facilities, Beveridge said, “We really could not have done our vaccination clinics and our vaccination campaigns in Wellington County without your support.”

Linton said the award was really recognition for all county team members “who put their hand up and said ’pick me’” when tasks related to the pandemic came up.
