County students to start school year with PA Day

WELLINGTON COUNTY – It’s back-to-school time and here’s what parents/guardians should know before students return.

For Upper Grand District School Board (UGDSB) students, a full length professional activity (PA) Day is set for Sept. 2 for elementary and secondary teachers.

The official first day of school for all UGDSB students is Sept. 3.

The last day of UGDSB classes for elementary students is set for next June 25, with secondary students ending on June 17.

Other important upcoming UGDSB dates include:

– Oct. 13, statutory holiday;

– Oct. 24, elementary only PA Day; and

–  Nov. 28, system-wide PA day.

Wellington Catholic District School Board (WCDSB) students will also begin school on Sept. 3.

Elementary students are set to have their last class on June 25, with secondary students ending on June 24.

Important upcoming WCDSB dates include:

– Oct. 13, stat holiday;

– Oct. 24, elementary PA Day.
