BRUCEDALE – The resurfacing of Fife Road and Skyway Drive will be completed by Cox Construction Limited.

The company’s bid for the project was the lowest of five bids received by Guelph/Eramosa, at $941,994 including HST. Other bids ranged from $963,246 to $1,414,478.  The township had budgeted $966,000 for the two roads.

R.J. Burnside, the township’s consultant, has recently worked with Cox Construction on similar projects and “can confirm they  are a capable contractor to complete the rehabilitation work,” states R. J. Burnshide contract administrator Ryan Campbell in an email to Guelph/Eramosa director of public works Harry Niemi.

Council awarded the tender to Cox Construction on April 15.

Fife Road will be resurfaced from Wellington Road 32 West to the Woolwich boundary and includes improving areas of the road’s base conditions.
