Cute pet photos: Humane Society fundraiser

GUELPH – The Guelph Humane Society is hosting the Cutest Pet Photo Contest to celebrate pets in the community and raise funds to provide hope, care and compassion for more than 180 animals currently waiting for their new home at GHS.

The contest runs from Aug. 2 to 29. All companion animals are welcome – including dogs, cats, rabbits, birds, guinea pigs and more.

Submissions are $20, and friends and family are encouraged to vote for that entrant by making a donation. The pet photo with the most votes wins.

The  grand prize includes  a pet photography session with Laura Wombwell Photography. There are also special prize baskets for the top dog, cat and other pet categories.

GHS director of communications and community engagement Jane Dawkins stated the event invites pet owners to join the fun, showcase their photography skills and make a difference in the lives of vulnerable animals.
