DAY, Lewis Richard

(1937 – 2022) Lewis Day, a life-long resident of Wellington County, Webfoot Farm & Hatchery, and Ontario Agriculture College Alumnus, passed away unexpectedly on October 31, 2022, in his 86th year. Lewis will be greatly missed by his loving wife and partner in life, Mae (Townsley). Proud father of Kathleen (Tom Dunbar) of Seaforth, and Rick (Thea Farr) of Elora. Fondly remembered by grandchildren Alex, Heather, Oliver, Jessica, Emily, and great-grandchildren Phoebe and Celeste. He is predeceased by his parents Fred Day and Elsie (Cook) and survived by his elder brother Morris Day, also of Elora. The family would especially like to thank the doctors, nurses, and staff at Guelph General Hospital for their compassionate care during Lewis’ brief hospital stay. Arrangements entrusted to Graham Giddy Funeral Home, Fergus, with a private family service to be held on November 10.
