DE GORTER, Yfke “Eva” (nee Woudstra)

Died peacefully on Wednesday November 23, 2022 at the Village of Riverside Glen, Guelph at the age of 98. Eva, formerly of Stayner, is predeceased by her beloved husband Jan “John” de Gorter. Loving mother of Greta (Harold Atkinson) of Guelph, John (Heather) of Fergus, Harry (Erika) of Ithaca, New York, Elizabeth (Paul Denbeigh) of Kitchener, Edward (Nancy) of Stayner, Peter (Patti) of Lethbridge, Alberta and Caroline (Greg Dowling) of Kingston. Dear Gramma Oma of twenty-two grandchildren and nineteen great-grandchildren. She is also survived by two sisters Lies and Koosje (Bert) and sister-in-law Janny all of the Netherlands and many nieces and nephews. Friends were received at the Jubilee Presbyterian Church, 7320 Highway 26, Stayner on Saturday November 26, 2022 from 12 noon for the Funeral Service in the Sanctuary at 1 o’clock. Reception followed. Graveside ceremony was held at Ebenezer Cemetery at 4 o’clock. The ceremony will also be live streamed. The link is available on the funeral home website.
