Creating roadside displays to promote the Erin Fall Fair could earn top prizes of $125 for area residents.

The theme for this year’s displays is “Fall Trees and Honey Bees.”

Displays can be entered in four categories: business, schools and community groups, residential, and non-profit groups.

The minimum size for the displays is four feet square, and there is no maximum size.

They must include the name Erin Fall Fair and the dates Oct. 4 to 8 (Thanksgiving weekend).

They must be complete and ready for judging by Sept. 23.

Judges will base their decision on readability, illustration of the theme, creativity and use of agricultural products and/or equipment.

Photos of all entries will be displayed in the exhibits hall throughout the fair weekend.

The competition is sponsored in part by Porcupine’s Quill and by U-Neek Signs, Kevin Morrison.
