DENNISON, John William

Of Harriston passed away at Palmerston Hospital on Saturday, October 21, 2023, in his 59th year. Loving husband of Debra (Shea) Dennison, and proud father of Russell Dennison, and William Dennison & Karlyn Kuepfer, all of Harriston. Much loved son of Betty Dennison of Harriston, and brother of Jane & Darrell Buehler of Harriston, Judy & Dave Brubacher of Georgetown, and Joan & J.R. Reinders of Moorefield. Son-in-law of Marion Shea of Harriston, and brother-in-law of Mike Shea, and Linda & Gary McLean, all of Mount Forest, and Kim Shea of Cambridge.  Remembered also by his nieces and nephews, Sarah Go (Geoff), Nathan Buehler, Ryan Buehler (Kayli), Brandon Buehler (Alison), Jenna Ibrahim (Ben), Michael Brubacher, Kara deKat (Jonathon), Rachel Eschlboeck (Joshua), Nichol Luymes (Rob), Jonathon Reinders (Hunter), Eric McLean, Shea-lynn McLean, and Kaylin Shea. Predeceased by his father Elmer Dennison, his father-in-law Gerald Shea, and by his brother James Dennison. John’s life was the gravel business. He enjoyed his equipment, his employees and his customers. He would do almost anything for any one of them. That was his world. When he wasn’t selling gravel, you could find him loading round bales with his Massey tractors or moving his cattle to the next pasture field. John also loved his family and supported them any way he could. Among all, his deeply rooted faith helped him overcome many challenges that he came up against in life. The funeral service will be held at First Baptist Church, Mount Forest, on Saturday, October 28, 2023 at 11:00am, with reception to follow. Interment in Harriston Cemetery. Memorial donations to First Baptist Church, Mount Forest, or to Palmerston Hospital would be appreciated and may be made through the Hardy-Lee Funeral Home, Harriston.
