Help for homeless veterans – Dan Bailey of Hanover’s OnePromo was in Mount Forest on Dec. 21 to present a $5,000 cheque earmarked for the Royal Canadian Legion Homeless Veterans Fund to Derek Moore, right, longtime member of Mount Forest Legion Branch 134 and current first vice president of Ontario Command.

OnePromo printed many of the memorial banners displayed in numerous towns around Remembrance Day, including the ones in Mount Forest. Bailey said the donation is a portion of the proceeds.

Formed 12 years ago, the homeless veterans fund is currently assisting 902 homeless veterans, over 70 of them women, in 174 different communities across Ontario. “There are even some around this area,” he said.
