DONKERSGOED, Harry

of Drayton passed away suddenly on Saturday, September 21, 2024 at the age of 61. Beloved husband and best friend of Pam (Emmerson) for 40 years. Cherished father of Tosha and Jamie Petznick of Drayton and Lauren and Travis Ruth of Owen Sound. Proud grandpa of Gus, Evelyn and Russell. Dear brother of Jerry Donkersgoed and Deb of Gorrie, Rick Donkersgoed and Victoria of Clifford, Ron Donkersgoed of Listowel and the late Susan (2020), Fred Donkersgoed and Cheryl of Palmerston and Jim Donkersgoed and Marlene of Waterloo. Son-in-law of Ellen Emmerson of Drayton and Don and Marilyn Emmerson of Fergus. Predeceased by his parents Gerrit and Anne Donkersgoed.    Fondly remembered by his many nieces, nephews, great nieces, great nephews and many friends. Harry ran G and H Small Engines for more than 30 years. He looked forward to visiting with customers where they would discuss the Toronto Maple Leafs. Harry also volunteered for the Mapleton Fire Department for 13 years. The family will receive friends at the Drayton Christian Reformed Church on Friday, September 27, 2024 from 2:00 to 4:00pm and 6:00 to 8:00pm. The Funeral Service will be held in the Drayton Christian Reformed Church on Saturday, September 28, 2024 at 11:00am followed by interment in Drayton Cemetery. As expressions of sympathy donations to the Heart and Stroke Foundation or the Palmerston Hospital Foundation-MRI would be appreciated by the family.
