Drayton clinic cancelled, but residents urged to keep donating blood
MAPLETON - A blood donation clinic here on June 15 has been cancelled, but Canadian Blood Services officials are planning another on in September.
In the meantime, residents can donate blood at the permanent Guelph donor centre (130 Silvercreek Parkway North).
“We hope all will be on track and we will be able to return to the Community Christian School on Sept. 14 as planned,” stated CBS official Mattea Duprey in a May 11 email. Officials are encouraging donors booked into or interested in the June event in Drayton to book a future event instead.
“Please note that given current precautions and efforts to safeguard our donors, we are now operating on an appointments-only basis,” stated Duprey.
