MAPLETON - Drayton Minor Hockey (DMH) has resumed full hockey activities after a precautionary pause due to concern over local COVID-19 cases.

With numerous local families isolating as a result of the cases, the organization announced a temporary halt to hockey activity for groups in the U13 and younger age categories from Nov. 5 to 7

On Nov. 7, the group announced the pause would continue for groups from U11 down until Nov. 11.

A Nov. 11 statement from the group announcing a resumption of hockey for all age groups indicates the decision was based on guidance from Wellington-Dufferin-Guelph Public Health.

“DMH would like to thank the players and their families for their support and patience as we paused over recent days,” minor hockey officials stated.

“Drayton Minor Hockey would also like to continue to remind players and their families to continue to exercise diligence with personal screening prior to attending any hockey related activities and to continue to follow and respect public health guidelines while at the rink."
