Drinking and driving
ERIN – On Oct. 14 at about 8:30pm, Wellington County OPP officers responded to a report of a vehicle in a ditch on the 3rd Line in Erin.
“Upon arrival, police located the driver, who they suspected to be impaired,” police stated in a press release.
A 53-year-old Toronto man was charged with driving while impaired by alcohol and drugs and failure or refusal to provide a breath sample. He is to appear in Guelph court on Oct. 31.
DUFFERIN COUNTY – Dufferin County OPP officials say officers removed five drivers from the road between Oct. 11 and 16.
Brittani Kozak, 33, of Erin, was charged with driving while impaired by alcohol and drugs, possession of a Schedule I substance (cocaine), care or control of a vehicle with cannabis readily available and possession of unmarked cigarettes. She is to appear in Orangeville court at a later date.
In the above incidents the driver’s licence was suspended for 90 days and the vehicle impounded for seven days.
