ECFTA presents Merry Wives of Windsor

ELORA – Grab a lawn chair or blanket and come for an open-air performance of William Shakespeare’s comedy The Merry Wives of Windsor.

Performed outdoors at the Elora Centre for the Arts on the pavilion stage, the Elora Community Theatre presents its 13th season of Shakespeare in the Park.

The plot

Falstaff decides to fix his financial woes by seducing the wives of two wealthy merchants.

The wives find out that he sent them identical letters and they take revenge by playing comedic tricks on Falstaff when he comes calling.

With the help of their husbands and friends, the wives play one last trick in the woods to put Falstaff’s mischief to an end.

Approximate running time (including intermission) is 90 minutes.

The play runs over two weekends, July 18, 19 and 20, and July 25, 26 and 27.

• Friday shows (18th and 25th) are at 8pm;

- Saturday shows, (19th and 26th) are at 2pm and 8pm

• Sunday shows, (20th and 27th) are at 2pm.

Tickets are available online at eloracentreforthearts.ca/events or cash at the door.

Adult tickets are $25 and youth are $15.

Bring your lawn chair or a blanket as organizers advise there is no other seating available.
