EDGERTON, Howard Sterling

Retired Foreman, Department of Public Works, City of Toronto. Howard passed away peacefully at Hospice Wellington on Sunday July 23, 2023, at age 96. Born in Elgin, Manitoba, to the late Edna Pearl and Charles Wilfred, June 3, 1927. Survived by his loving wife Jean of 75 ½ years, daughter Shirley (Sigi), son Wilfred and daughter Joyce. Papa to Leanne Wortley, Roxanne Edgerton, Kyle and Krystin Edgerton, Kelly and Bradley Morrison and Great Grandpa to Elliot and Quinten Levac, and newborn McKenna Joy. Predeceased by son Glenn in 2013 and by 5 sisters; Evelyn, Elsie, Florence, Hazel and Phyllis. Howard was a regular attendee at Oldtime Fiddle Clubs and Jamborees where he enjoyed being a caller for square dances. He also successfully competed in step dance competitions in the 50 and over age category until he was 90 years old.
