EFAO hosting February Small Grains meetup
ONTARIO – The Ecological Farmer’s Association of Ontario is promoting a February Small Grains Meet-up for farmers to learn from an expert and ask questions.
Peter “Wheat Pete” Johnson is a professional agronomist, consultant and host on Real Agriculture’s Wheat Pete’s Word, a weekly cropping advice and information podcast.
He was previously the cereal specialist for the Ontario Ministry of Agriculture, Food, and Rural Affairs for 30 years, and brings decades of boots-on-the-ground experience to the table.
Wheat Pete will give some of his top tips for planting spring cereals, and then the floor will open for questions.
The free online seminar takes place Feb. 24 from 1:30 to 2:30pm.
