Erin council paid $157,000 in 2021

ERIN – The cost of compensating Erin council was just over $157,000 in 2021, a decrease from $185,782 in 2020.

The annual report, presented during a May 12 council meeting, highlighted the 2021 remuneration for council, benefits and additional expenses for council members.

Pay and expenses for all of council totalled $157,007.

Mayor Allan Alls was the highest paid member of council last year, receiving a total salary of $33,422 plus $8,899 in benefits and $680 in expenses for total remuneration of $42,728.

Councillors’ remuneration was set at $20,133 in 2021.

The wages are based on 2020 rates as council opted not to receive a salary increase for 2021.
