ERIN – On the occasion of the 80th anniversary of the D-Day landing in Normandy, which took place on June 6th, 1944, a commemorative presentation was hosted by the Erin Legion at McMillan Park.

Legion president, Patty Booth and chaplain Rev. Irene Walback paid tribute to the veterans' relentless efforts to combat tyranny and oppression.

Following a two-minute silence observed in honour of the veterans, attendees moved to All Saints Anglican Church, where they symbolically rang the church bells.
