Fitness on the Farm held at Mapleton farm
Fitness on the Farm – Local fitness trainer Leona Ottens hosted Fitness on the Farm at her Mapleton farm on May 29. The event involved participants from four area gyms competing in a variety of team fitness events.
About $2,000 was raised to help area gyms, which shut down for lengthy periods during the COVID-19 pandemic. Ottens notes gym operators made equipment available and hosted online classes to help support fitness needs and mental health for their clients and others, despite being hard hit by the lockdowns.
