FRANKLIN, Ken

Of Breslau passed away peacefully surrounded by the love of his family on Friday, April 25, 2025 in his 83rd year. Beloved husband of Sharon (Thompson) for 59 years. Dear father of Deborah Franklin and Angela and Jeff Kartechner all of Kitchener. Cherished grandfather of Devin and Sydney Baty, Felicity Baty and Liam Colson, Jenna Kartechner (wild child) and Justin Kartechner. Great grandfather of Isla and Ivy. Brother of Joyce Bell and David and Ginny Franklin. Brother-in-law of Don Thompson, Ron and Carol Thompson and David and Dianne Thompson. Fondly remembered by his nieces, nephews and friends.  Predeceased by his parents Earl and Loretta Franklin, sister Isabel and her husband Ron Beatty, brother Larry Franklin, niece Shelley Franklin, brother-in-law Jack Bell and sisters-in-law Loy Franklin and Ruth Thompson. To honour Ken’s wishes cremation has taken place. A casual gathering will be held at Memory Gardens Funeral Home, 2723 Victoria Street North, Breslau, Ontario on Sunday, May 4, 2025 from 11:00am to 1:00pm with remembrances at 11:45. The family would like to thank the four special angels Neela, Nancy, Andrea and Matthew for their care and compassion this past year. As expressions of sympathy donations to the Make a Wish Foundation or Central Ontario Developmental Riding Program would be appreciated by the family.
