Garage a ‘total loss’: deputy fire chief

GUELPH/ERAMOSA – The Guelph Fire Department responded to a garage fire on Wellington Road 124 between Jones Baseline and Watson Road North on July 29.

The blaze began around 7:30pm and was contained to a detached garage near the house.

No injuries were reported.

Six fire trucks were dispatched from Guelph, in addition to a Guelph/Eramosa truck for support.

Guelph Fire Department deputy chief Steven Goode said the garage is a “total loss.”

The investigation into the fire is completed, Goode said, and its cause is undetermined.
