GILES, Wilma Irene (nee: Mills)

Passed away peacefully on July 23rd, 2024, in her 100th year at Highland Manor in Fergus. Wife of the late Jack Giles (2015). Mother of Don Giles (Betty) and the late Jo-Anne Giles (2020). Survived by one brother Raymond Mills. Predeceased by brothers Alan, Leslie, Arthur, Garnet, Harold, Edgar, Bud, and sister Helen. Wilma was born and raised on a farm near Bruce Mines in Northern Ontario. Wilma enjoyed travel, creating art with oil paints, often of local scenery and both going to and holding garage sales. The family wishes to thank Dr. Stickney and the staff at Highland Manor for their kindness, care and compassion over the last eight years. As expressions of sympathy, donations in memory of Wilma can be made to Groves Memorial Hospital or Aboyne Rural Hospice. A Graveside service was held on Monday, July  29th, 2024 at Belsyde Cemetery, Fergus at 11:00am. Arrangements are entrusted with the Graham A. Giddy Funeral Home.
