FERGUS –  A new Fergus Goodwill Donation Centre is now located at 680 St. David Street North. It is open Monday to Friday 8am to 8pm, Saturday 8am to 6pm and Sunday 9am to 5pm.

Residents in Fergus and surrounding areas can donate clothing, accessories, books, electronics, and household items. To see what items can be donated, visit goodwillindustries.ca/donate.

“Every time items are donated to Goodwill, it creates work for... many who face barriers to employment,” said Michelle Quintyn, president and CEO of Goodwill Industries. “We are thrilled to be expanding our operations in the Fergus area, creating new jobs and supporting the community to reduce their environmental impact by diverting used goods from the landfill.”

Goodwill is a non-profit, registered charity that operates as a social enterprise.

Since the beginning of the last century, Goodwill has existed to create work opportunities, skills development and social integration for people facing barriers to employment, officials say.
