GORTER, Doreen

Passed away peacefully in her 78th year on Monday, October 2, 2023 with family by her side. Loving wife of the late Douglas Gorter (2018). Beloved mother of Linda (Gary), the late Sheri (2012) (Rob) and the late Dougie (1991). Cherished Grandmother of Bud (Jody), Alexis (Matthew), Kristina (Marc) and Ryan (Amy). Proud G.G of Abigail, Cadence, Riley and Avery. Doreen will be missed by her extended family, nieces and nephews. Visitation will be held on Thursday, October 12, 2023 at the Graham A. Giddy Funeral Home, 280 St. David St. South, Fergus from 12:00 – 2:00pm, with a funeral service beginning in the chapel at 2:00pm. Burial will take place at Huxley Cemetery with a reception to follow at the Erin Legion. Memorial donations may be made to the Canadian Cancer Society or the Erin Legion.
