GUELPH/ERAMOSA – Township officials here updated council on April 19 about new COVID-19 measures in the municipality as a result of the province’s current stay-at-home order and emergency declaration.

As of the  province’s April 16 announcement, all outdoor facilities are closed, except for playgrounds and benches. The order is planned to end on May 20.

The dog park and trails are open as well for walk-through activity.

“They’re trying to avoid congregations of people,” said parks and recreation director Robin Milne.

The new regulations will be posted on the township’s website under the COVID-19 section. “This is direction from the province, this isn’t a decision made by the township.” said Milne.
