HAMILTON, Berkley “Hammy”

With great sadness, we announced the passing of Berkley “Hammy” Hamilton in his 89th year. Beloved father of Lynn Lockhart (Fernando), Shari Hamilton and Ryan Hamilton (Robyn).  Proud grandfather to Amanda Smith (Andrew), Zak Lockhart, Scott Hamilton and Jorda Hamilton. Great grandfather to Jax Smith. Devoted partner to the late Maxine Bucholtz. Hammy grew up in Morriston, Ontario and later moved his young family to Hanover while he worked at the Ontario Hydro Bruce Heavy Water and Power Plants. He was a member of UA Local 527 for 70 years and was a longtime member of the Hanover Legion and Masonic Lodge. Hammy was a passionate outdoorsman who enjoyed his weekly outing of creek fishing. He had a keen sense of humour and loved a good joke. He will be remembered as a kind and generous man who will be greatly missed by his family and friends. Cremation has taken place.
