HAMMOND, Shirley (nee Van Soest)
Of Moorefield passed away at St. Mary’s General Hospital, Kitchener on Friday, August 26, 2022 in her 72nd year. Beloved wife and best friend of Greg Hammond for 26 years. Dear mother of Mike and Allison Wimmenhove and Wayne and Charlene Wimmenhove both of Alberta. Cherished grandmother of Amber and Amanda. Sister of Dorothy Rosema of Alberta and Jack and Mary Van Soest of Dryden. Sister-in-law of Jerry De Boer. Shirley will be missed by her nieces, nephews and friends. To honour Shirley’s wishes cremation has taken place. A Memorial Service of Remembrance will be held in the Moorefield Community Centre on Saturday, September 17, 2022 at 2:00pm followed by interment in Bethesda Cemetery. As expressions of sympathy donations to the Diabetes Association or the Palmerston Hospital Foundation would be appreciated by the family.
