Harriston church hosts July 1 party

HARRISTON – The Crossroads Life Church in Harriston will be hosting its annual Canada Day celebration on July 1 from 6 to 10pm.

The church is located across from the Harriston water tower at 99 Young St. W.

The event will begin with giant inflatables from 6 to 8:30pm with food available from 6 to 9pm.

The celebration is free but organizers do ask guests to bring a food bank donation.

The fireworks will begin at dusk and no pets will be allowed.

A food bank “wish list” includes:

  • pasta;
  • spaghetti sauce;
  • canned vegetables;
  • canned potatoes;
  • canned tomatoes, diced;
  • Kraft Dinner;
  • peanut butter;
  • cereal;
  • soup;
  • juice boxes; and
  • packaged snacks.

The rain date has been set for July 5.
